Konrad Kuhn
Dramaturg
German dramaturg, he studied theatre and literature at the Free University of Berlin. He served as dramaturg at the Burgtheater in Vienna. In 1999 he turned to musical theatre and joined Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz in Munich for four seasons. Moreover, he served as dramaturg at Zurich Opera House (2009-2012) and since 2015 he has joined the Frankfurt Opera. As a guest dramaturg he was invited in prestigious theatres and festivals worldwide, among which the Salzburg and the Bayreuth festivals. Kuhn has collaborated with stage directors such as Harry Kupfer, David Pountney, Claus Guth and Tobias Kratzer. Since 2010, he has collaborated regularly with Robert Wilson on projects such as Norma, Macbeth and La traviata, Ionesco’s Rhinoceros, Oedipus after Sophocles (also shown at Epidaurus), Adam’s Passion with music by Arvo Pärt, Handel’s Messiah and Bach 6 solo.
