Artistic director and principal conductor of Orchestre Classique de Montréal, he has previously been principal conductor of the Bonn Opera in Germany, music director of the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra, as well as of the Orchestre symphonique de Mulhouse in France. Jacques has worked with many leading opera houses including the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden, Metropolitan Opera in New York, Deutsche Oper in Berlin, Bavarian State Opera in Munich, Teatro Regio in Turin, Opéra national du Rhin as well as opera houses in Marseille, Monaco, Nancy, Nice, Seville and Saint-Étienne.
