
Christos Lazos
GNO Chorus Member, Baritone
He was born in Athens. He started piano lessons at a very early age and received his diploma in harmony and advanced theory of music even before finishing high school. He continued his studies at the Dartington College of Arts, University of Plymouth (England) where he studied composition. Shortly before completing his studies in music (1999), he had his first lessons in classical singing with Ian Kompoy. He returned to Athens and in 2004 he got his diploma in opera singing from the National Conservatory, studying under the guidance of Stamatis Beris. In addition, he has have masterclasses in singing with Kostas Paschalis, Kiki Morfoniou, Louis Manika and William Matteuzzi. He has performed in the International Music Festival of Santorini, at the restaurant Piedra, in the European Music Day 2014 (Philopappou Hill), with the music ensembles of the Municipality of Athens. He is a pemanent member of the Chorus of the Greek National Opera. He has sang principal roles in operas such as The Barber of Seville (Il barbiere di Siviglia) (educational action in schools), The Elixir of love (L'elisir d'amore) and La Bohéme (suitcase opera), as well as in operettas of Th.
