Christian Longchamp
Dramaturg
Swiss dramaturg, he studied art history and philosophy. He began his career organising exhibitions about contemporary artists. He was a curator at the Auditorium of the Louvre Museum, artistic advisor, dramaturg and head of publications for La Monnaie, Brussels, and for the Opéra national de Paris and artistic advisor and dramaturg for the Opéra national du Rhin (Strasbourg). He has been the dramaturg for several of Krzysztof Warlikowski’s productions including Don Carlos, Bluebeard’s Castle and La Voix humaine, Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk (Opéra national de Paris), Lulu, Don Giovanni and Cherubini’s Médée (La Monnaie, Brussels), L’incoronazione di Poppea (Teatro Real, Madrid), Il trionfo del tempo e del disinganno (Aix-en-Provence Festival), Wozzeck (Dutch National Opera) and The Bassarids and Elektra (Salzburg Festival). Longchamp has also been dramaturg for Romeo Castellucci’s productions of Orfeo ed Euridice (Vienna Festival
