
Anna Malavasi
Soloist, Mezzo-Soprano
Mezzo-soprano, born in Mantua, Italy, she is a renowned performer of Carmen. Moreover, she has sung such leading roles as Azucena (Il trovatore), Fenena (Nabucco), Meg (Falstaff), Maddalena (Rigoletto), Suzuki (Madama Butterfly) in prestigious theatres in Italy and worldwide (Arena di Verona, Teatro La Fenice, Rome Opera, Teatro Regio di Parma, ROH, Bavarian State Opera, Ravenna Festival, Palermo, Bologna, Florence, Naples, Riga, etc). In 2012 she sang in a concert at the Senate of the Italian Republic under Riccardo Muti, while in 2013 again under the baton of Muti she took part in Bach’s Mass in B minor (Chicago), Missa defunctorum by Paisiello (Salzburg Festival) and in concerts as part of The Roads of Friendship project (Ravenna Festival). Her most recent engagements include such operas as La traviata, Andrea Chenier, Cavalleria rusticana (Rome Opera), Falstaff (Savonlinna), Madama Butterfly (Palermo), Nabucco (Florence), Nabucco, Rigoletto, Madama Butterfly (Arena di Verona), Aida and Cavalleria rusticana (Ravenna Festival).
