She was born in Montreal, Canada. She studied singing with Missa Ikeoutsi, receiving her diploma in 1994, as well as with Frangiskos Voutsinos, Kostas Paschalis, Vera Rózsa, Arrigo Pola (Modena) and tenor Ernst Haefliger (Zurich). She also studied at the Mayer-Lismann Opera Centre in London. She has performed in major international festivals and starred in opera houses around Europe and North America, including the Munich Opera, the Opera of Ferrara, the Royal Theatre in Madrid, the National Theatre of São Carlos, the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, the Carnegie Hall, etc. Her ever-increasing awarded recordings include Händel's Oreste, Arianna in Creta, Tamerlano, Giulio Cesare and Alessandro Severo, as well as works by Scarlatti, Vivaldi, Mozart, etc. She has also participated in video recordings of Ariodante, Ercole su’l Termodonte and Montezuma. Her wide-ranging repertoire includes, among others, the following roles: Adalgisa (Norma), Rosina (Il barbiere di Siviglia), Ruggiero (Alcina), Fortune and Pallas (La incoronazione di Poppea), Ramiro (La finta giardiniera), Cherubino (Le nozze di Figaro), Octavian (Der Rosenkavalier), Orpheus (Orfeo ed Euridice), etc. In 2003, she founded the Festival of Ancient Corinth, featuring baroque operas.
