Russian bass, he is currently studying with Ildar Abdrazakov and Vladimir Vaneev at the Elena Obraztsova International Academy of Music in St. Petersburg. During 2016/17 he sang Figaro (Le nozze di Figaro), Colline (La bohème), Ruslan (Ruslan and Lyudmila), Donner (Das Rheingold) and December (Shchedrin’s A Christmas Tale, Mariinsky Theatre, St. Petersburg) – the two latter roles under Valery Gergiev. He also made his Hamburg State Opera debut as the Servant (Macbeth). Earlier appearances include King René (Iolanta, Hermitage Theatre and St. Petersburg Conservatory), Prince Gremin (Eugene Onegin, Moldovan National Opera, St. Petersburg Conservatory), the Old Gypsy (Rachmaninoff’s Aleko, Hermitage Theatre) and Sobakin (The Tsar’s Bride, St. Petersburg Conservatory). He has received many prizes at international competitions such as the first prizes at the 2016 Boris Shtokolov Competition in St. Petersburg, the 2014 St. Petersburg in the Mirror of World Music Culture Competition etc. // Last update of the biography: December 2017
