
Aris Prospathopoulos
Soloist, Tenor
He was born in Athens. He studied piano at the National Conservatory and the the NTUA Conservatory. At the same time he studied music theory. He studied voice training under Frangiskos Voutsinos, Marina Krillovic, Christina Giannakopoulou, Aris Christofellis, Nikolaos Pagounis and Lillian Tsatsaroni, with whom he got his diploma from the Kodály Conservatory. He attended seminars in the Bach Academy under Helmut Regling (Athens 2002/03) and sang Bach cantatas and in Matthaus Passions with the Camerata Orchestra. He attended opera singing and technique seminars with Kurt Ekwiluc, Demetra Theodosiou, Birgit Nickl and Lucianna Serra. He collaborated with the Athens State Orchestra, the Athens Concert Hall, the Small Opera of the World, as well as with conductors Lucas Karytinos, Miltos Logiadis, Myron Michailidis, Helmut Regling, Vyron Fidetzis and others. He has sang in performances directed by Phillipe Arlo, Arnaud Bernard, Alexander Eykleidis and others. He has sang in concerts the works Froso by Lavragas with the Athens State Orchestra and Lionela by Samaras (Greek Music Celebrations 2010, 2011) and in Sakelaridis' operetta the Daughter of the Storm (Athens Festival 2011). He was a member of the Chorus of the Athens Festival, of the Chorus Fons Musicalis and of the voice ensemble PolyPhonia (1995/2005). With the latter he participated in the recording of the Greek Renaissance composer, Francisco Leontaritis, and in concerts in Greece and Europe (Aachen, Bonn, Dortmund, Cologne, Venice). At the GNO he sang roles in the operas The Magic Flute [Die Zauberflöte] (2010/11), Ariadne in Naxos [Ariadne auf Naxos] (2009/10), The Cunning Little Vixen [Příhody lišky Bystroušky] (2014/15) κ.ά. // Last update of the biography: December 2015 - The list of productions below is continually updated.
