South Korean soprano, she studied singing at the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory in Milan and at the Teatro alla Scala Academy with Leyla Gencer. She has won several international competitions. Among many roles, she has performed Tosca (Vienna State Opera conducted by Placido Domingo, alongside, Aleksandrs Antonenko and Thomas Hampson), Leonora (La forza del destino, Teatro Filarmonico, Verona), Maddalena (Andrea Chenier, Seoul), Aida (Arena di Verona, Seoul, Klagenfurt, Munich) and Verdi's Requiem (Seoul). At La Scala, Milan, she has performed in such productions as Les Dialogues des Carmelites, Rinaldo, Elektra, La bohème, Così fan tutte (Fiordiligi), with conductors like Riccardo Muti, Ottavio Dantone, Semyon Bychkov, Rafael Frühbeck de Burgos, Niksa Bareza, Jeffrey Tate, Riccardo Chailly, Lothar Koenigs, Daniel Barenboim.
