Gerhard Siegel
Soloist, Tenor
German tenor, he studied singing at the Leopold Mozart Conservatory in Augsburg, Bavaria. After engagements with the Trier Theatre (1993/5), Dessau Theatre (1995/6) and Nuremberg State Theatre (1998-2006) he pursued a freelance career. He was a prizewinner at the 14th International Hans Gabor Belvedere Competition. His repertory includes Siegfried (Der Ring des Nibelungen), Walther von Stolzing (Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg), Florestan (Fidelio), Parsifal, Tenor / Bacchus (Ariadne auf Naxos), Octavio (Giuditta), Herodes (Salome) and Captain (Wozzeck). He has sung under famous conductors (Pappano, Tate, Levine, Pacor, Bolton, Mehta) at the Komische Oper Berlin, Vienna State Opera, Bavarian State Opera, Metropolitan Opera, New York, Royal Opera House, Covent Garden (London), Teatro Real, Madrid and Bayreuth Festival, among others. // Last update of the biography: November 2009 - The list of the productions below is complete.
