He was born on 30/07/1944. He lived in Greece since 1963. He started his professional career at the Greek National Opera as as principal dancer during the artistic season 1965-'66, performing the role of Gigolo in the ballet Music Night and the production of the opera La traviata. He collaborated as principal dancer with the Greek Ballet of Rallou Manou for a long time. Abroad he worked as principal dancer in Stuttgart, Düsseldorf , Wiesbaden, Frankfurt, Madrid, Edinburgh. He was a soloist at the Ballet of Wallonia and the Theatre of Toulouse. He collaborated with important dancers, such as Rudolf Nureyev, Vladimir Vasiliev, Carla Fracci, Ekaterina Maximova. He taught in Italy (Rome, Bari), Hungary and France (Cannes). He created many ballets such as: Death and the Maiden [Der Tod und das Mädchen], Giselle, Swan Lake, Coppélia, Sheherazade, Gayane, Carmen (music by Shchedrin), Gioconda's smile (music by Hadjidakis) etc. In 2001 he was hired as choreographer by the National Opera of Constanta (Romania) to choreograph Mikis Theodorakis' work The Song for the Dead Brother (2001). The ballets The Wayward Daughter [La fille mal gardée] (2003) and Zorba (2005) followed. He choreographed at the same stage until 2008. He passed away on 22/02/2010. For the Greek National Opera he choreographed the ballets Romeo and Juliet by Prokofiev (1970-71 and 1972-73) and Night on Bald Mountain by Mussorgsky (1971-72 and 1972-73).
