Soloist, Soprano
Uruguayan soprano, she figures among today’s leading soloists in a repertoire comprising many of the 19th and 20th century Italian opera heroines. She studied in Montevideo, Paris, and with Ileana Cotrubaş in Nice and Vienna. She performed her first roles in her native country and in Argentina, making her European breakthrough as Leonora (Il trovatore, Genoa 2008). Recent performances include leading roles in Don Carlo (Vienna), Tosca (Bologna, Salerno), Nabucco (Vienna, Bari, Florence), La forza del destino (Liège), Adriana Lecouvreur (Las Palmas, Florence), Aida and Cavalleria rusticana (Arena di Verona).
