He was born in Mytilini. He studied at the Athens Conservatory under soprano Mireille Flery, graduating in 1975 with honors and first prize. During the period 1973-1998, he worked with the GNO in about 100 productions and/or revivals of 37 works, interpreting leading and supporting tenor roles in operas and operettas. Among others, he performed the roles of: Ishmael (Nabucco) (Odeon of Herodes Atticus, 1992), Duke of Mantua (Rigoletto), Manrico and Ruiz (Il trovatore), Alfredo Germont (La traviata), Turiddu (Cavalleria rusticana), Werther (Werther), Edgardo (Lucia di Lammermoor), Falke and Alfred (Die Fledermaus), Pinkerton (Madama Butterfly), Lord Riccardo Percy (Anna Bolena), Rodolfo (La bohème), The Pretender under the name Grigoriy (Boris Godunov), Count Almaviva (Il barbiere di Siviglia), Gonzalve (L’heure espagnole), Chekalinsky (The Queen of Spades), Binder (Das Dreimädelhaus), Lidoro (L'Italiana in Algeri), Don Antonio (Betrothal in a Monastery), Hoffman (Les contes d’Hoffmann), Don Carlo (Don Carlo), Ferrando (Così fan tutte), Chevalier Renato des Grieux (Manon Lescaut), Mario Cavaradossi (Tosca), etc. He also participated in Greek operas and operettas as Lysias (Rhea), Valdo (Flora mirabilis), Charmidis (The Godson/O vaftistikos).
