Lighting Designer
He was born in Athens. He has worked as head stage electrician and lighting supervisor since 1968. He has collaborated with several theatrical producers, including Vangelis Leivadas (productions at the Amiral, Vempo, Park and Smaroula theaters) and Nikos Sofianos (productions at the Kalouta, Peroké and Atheneum theaters), as well as with the "Amphi-theatro" theatre company of Spyros Evangelatos (Herodeion, 2007). During the years 1985-2007, he worked as resident electrician and lighting supervisor at the GNO. He contributed to all major productions in Ancient Corinth, the Athens Concert Hall, the Thessaloniki Concert Hall, the Herodeion and elsewhere. Since 1992, he served as head of the GNO electricians and lighting crew and provided lighting design for 30 opera productions and 45 ballet productions of works such as: Carmen, La Βayadère, Die Fledermaus, Les Contes d'Hoffmann, The Chessboard Fugitives, Tosca, La forza del destino, Cavalleria rusticana, La bohème, Alcina, Il trovatore, Zorba, etc. During the same time, he also served as head of lighting at the Lycabettus Theater (GNTO). // Last update of the biography: December 2015 - The list of productions below is continually updated.
