
Lydia Vafiadi
Soloist, Mezzo-soprano
Greek mezzo-soprano, she was born in Athens. She attended singing lessons with Frangiskos Voutsinos, Myrto Douli, George Pappas, Verka Stogiannidou and Dinah Stieringer, with whom she also completed her studies at the Kostis Gaitanos’ Musical Horizons Conservatory. She has performed leading roles such as The Princess (Suor Angelica), Aretousa (The Apaches of Athens), Flora Bervoix (La traviata, Athens Concert Hall), as well as the soloist part of the contralto from Mozart’s Requiem. Since 2007 she has been cooperating with the Greek National Opera as an additional Chorus member in operas and operettas and as a soloist in numerous productions. // Last update of the biography: July 2019 - The list of the productions below is continually updated.
