Kostas Zaharakis

He was born in Thessaloniki and studied singing at the Athens Conservatoire. He attended masterclasses by Walter Lott at the Actors Studio in New York. He debuted in theater in 1980, in Federico García Lorca’s The House of Bernarda Alba. He collaborated with the Greek National Theater, the National Theater of Northern Greece, the municipal regional theaters (DIPETHE) of Kalamata, Patra and Volos, the Athens Concert Hall, Amore Theatre and Attis Theatre, in leading roles such as Don Juan (Molière), Don Quixote (Cervantes), Othello (Shakespeare). He has participated in performances and concerts alongside Maria Farantouri, Elli Paspala, Savina Yannatou, Lina Nikolakopoulou, Thanos Mikroutsikos, etc., as well as in television series (ANT1, ALPHA). He appeared in the GNO production The microbe of love (Acropol Theatre, 2009/10).
